Carol Lee Peake

Skilled Family Law & Divorce Attorney in Daytona Beach, FL

Carol Lee Peake, Daytona Beach Divorce Lawyer

Carol Lee Peake is an experienced Volusia County family court attorney with over two decades of experience in family law.  Though primarily a Daytona Beach Divorce attorney, her services cover most all of family law in Volusia County and Flagler County.

Carol has been a Daytona Beach resident since 1978 where she graduated from Spruce Creek High School.  She was interested in the law from a very young age where she was exposed to many of her friend’s families whose lives were shaken by shattering divorces and painful custody battles.  It was no mistake that her journey led her to Family Law.

Throughout her collegiate career she worked at the State Attorney’s Office as an where she got valuable experience seeing the government’s cold role in citizen’s lives.  It is here where she first felt the burning passion to provide personal effective representation.

After working at the State Attorney’s Office, Carol took a position at the Clerk’s Office where she worked full time while continuing her educational pursuits.   As a court clerk, Carol had the opportunity to attend court daily, working with other attorneys and judges.  This experience served to increase Carol’s passion for the law and solidified her desire to become an attorney.

She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Barry Law School in Orlando, FL.  Unlike most law students who do not work during law school, Carol had continued to work full-time.  A feat few have achieved.  This level of work ethic has become her brand.  Carol founded the Law Office of Carol Lee Peake in 2009.

While having practiced in other areas of law, Carol especially enjoys family law.

“Assisting people during their toughest times in life is a fulfilling aspect of my job.  I chose to become a lawyer as I wanted to assist individuals through challenging circumstances. Family law issues, including divorce, support, and custody disputes, are some of the most stressful and burdensome situations that people face. Guiding them through such tough times is rewarding and takes the weight off their shoulders.

My personal background drives my passion to resolve family law issues. Having experienced divorce, I can relate to clients' experiences and empathize with them. It brings me great satisfaction to help people tackle challenging family law issues.”

Attracted by the broad, intellectually challenging, and variable nature of family law, Carol has focused her practice exclusively on family law.  She has deep mastery of family law including, but not limited to, divorce disputes involving financial issues and property division, allocation of parental responsibilities (formerly known as child custody), alimony, child support, paternity, parental relocation, establishment, modification, and enforcement of prior court orders such as custody or support and other family law disputes.

In pursuit of the best possible result for her clients, Carol takes the time to listen and understand the unique circumstances and complexities of each case.  She believes it’s just as important to be able to know the law and argue persuasively on a client’s behalf as it is to provide him or her with sensible and empathetic guidance during what is often one of the most trying times in that person’s life.

Carol taps her negotiation skills to help her clients avoid the emotional toll of contested litigation if a fair settlement is a possibility.

“I pride myself in my civility and ability to work across the aisle with opposing counsels to find a reasonable settlement when doing so is in my client’s best interest. It’s more rewarding to have my client satisfied with a negotiated outcome where both sides are able to able to save face and keep their dignity than it is to secure a win through a contested trial.”

Carol has earned the respect of judges and her peers in the legal community alike.  In fact, in the rare event you come across a naysayer it is highly likely that they harbor a proverbial scar from being bested in litigation.

If you’re looking for highly skilled, highly experienced, and hardworking divorce or family lawyer, look to further.  Put Carol’s years of experience help you through this difficult process.
